Homicide 89: Jason Wynne Posted by Brendan McCarthy June 17, 2007 12:00PM Categories: 2007 Murder JUNE 17 Lower 9th Ward - District 5 Wynne, 21, of St. Bernard Parish, was found in the middle of the roadway, near Gordon and Urquhart streets, by officers responding to a report of shots being fired in the area shortly before 4 a.m. Obituary Jason Lance Wynne, 21, of Rossville, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2007. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was a member of South Rossville Baptist Church. He was currently attending Northwestern Technical College and was an avid outdoorsman. He was also an Eagle Scout who loved his family, playing drums, weightlifting and boxing. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Elizabeth Wynne. Survivors include his parents, Sanford & Debbie Wynne of Rossville, GA; 2 sisters & sons-in-law, Kristen & Matthew Magallanez of Rossville, GA, and Cheri & Mark Moreland of Kimball, TN; brother & sister-in-law, Jeremy & Stefanie Wynne of Ringgold, GA; nephew, Mason Moreland; grandparents, Jack & Martha Lowe & Sanford Wynne, Sr. all of Jasper, TN and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Bro. Eddy Rushing officiating. Burial will follow in the Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will begin receiving friends after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday and prior to the service on Wednesday. Arrangements by W. L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, GA. Kim was a strong and beautiful girl. After being diagnosed with cancer in jr. high, she went through remission and was able to celebrate our Senior Year...Sadly within a few short years of graduation her body succumbed to this disease once again and we lost our beautiful Kim

I didn't really know Carmen, but my mom did. She was known to be a wonderful mother and friend. She was very intelligent and outgoing. She passed away 2008.

Daniel was killed on Christmas Eve due to injuries from a gunshot wound. He is truly missed.

--Miranda Patterson (October 28, 1995)
Miranda was the sparkle in my eye, and the beat to my heart, the love of my life. On a rainy cold October day on the 27th of 1995 she was in a awful car accident, later on the next day she was taken from us all. We laid her to rest on Halloween, at the Lake Wood Memorial Gardens South, in the Loving Garden. Miranda was the most beautifulest person I had every known, her soul was a gift for us all, she taught me to love, to smile and to live like every day is the last day. I held her as she took her last breath until she slipped away. I was the first to hold her, and the last. She was the first to ever have my heart,and the only one to ever teach me that we all make a difference and how to live and love from the heart. <0>I brushed her hair away from her face. I kissed her on the lips and cried. It wasn't fair that someone so young with so much to show this world should have to go. Miranda died at Erlanger Hospital on October 28, 1995 at 6:34 pm. But she never has left us, she is still the wind that blows on a lonely day, the sun that clears the rain and all the beautiful memories she shared with us. Please remember her in the happy and loving way she was, I will never forget how she laughed and smiled, I will never forget, I only wished we could have had more time. Thank you Miranda , for all you shared with me. I can still see her in that wedding dress, smiling, I have never stopped holding her hand, I can still feel her with me. Sweet dreams my wife, with love.
